Description (last modified by )
Hello.
In Secret files of Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Rose Tattoo, in Spanish, the exit dialog is shown wrong, with the text inverted (the two phrases), the dialog text does not fit the window, and also appears a "Non" (French?) when is "No".
Tested with ScummVM 2.9.1, compared with DOSBox.
Also testing this with 3.0.0git19399-g8c49944839d (Sep 26 2025 04:37:16), I found ScummVM crash just when It's going to show this dialog:
Assertion failed: x >= 0 && x < w && y >= 0 && y < h, file /data/src/graphics/surface.h, line 185
(I need to write it, because It even was not recorded in ScummVM.log file!)
Also, maybe this is related with this other issue: https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/16237

Update:
Tested with new release 2026.1 and actual master build (2026.1.1git22031-g98046f7ae9a, Jan 31 2026 04:32:41), and now both crash with the noted error above.

| Summary: | SHERLOCK: Exit dialog wrong in Spanish, also crash in last build from master → SHERLOCK: Exit dialog wrong in Spanish (2.9.1), and now crash with 2026.1.0 and master |

Hello.
I also found a few crashes during a full playtrought of the game, specifically when trying to use the save/load menus with the same crash behavior.
Impossible to reproduce consistently as most of the time they work, so I could not catch the output error, but this time I was using 2.9.1 all the time which do not have the crash explained above. Maybe related, maybe not.
Thanks.

Update: Tested with new 2026.1.0 and newer master, now they crash both.
