scummvm -v - ScummVM 2.10.0git13987-g93992fa572b (Mar 25 2025 04:46:24)
Near the start of the game. Willy is in detention. Ms. Glass (Willy's teacher) questions Willy what she just said. Player gets 3 options. 1 and 3 are OK. With option 2 Ms. Glass says Willy's grades are in the mail. The game gets as far as Willy being worried if he's father finds out about he's C grade in music. Then the game crashes.
Option 2 was the first I tried. After that I tried options 1 and 3 just to the end of that little sequence with Ms. Glass. With options 1 and 3 I got past the sequence with Ms. Glass.
The save file was made just before where the game gives the player the 3 options.
Game version is English language CD from GOG.
Windows 10 up to date.

I just downloaded a build at 8pm UK time. It was built at 4.43am so I will wait until tomorrow to check. Your comment would of been made after 4.43am.
One thing I did notice though when I just tried with the latest build, and I can't check with the earlier build as I have deleted it, is to do with Willy's comment about the C grade.
The crash happens if I leave the scene with Willy C grade to play out totally. ScummVM totally crashes.
Often with adventures, if there's text on screen along with the audio the player might read the text before the audio itself finishes and so left-clicks through to the next part of the game.
I just tried this and I can left-click through to the next part of the game. So it's only happening if I leave the audio complete playing.
I meant to do this last time. Below is the output of cmd.exe for both methods. First if I leave the audio complete and the other is from if I left-click through so that the audio clip doesn't play fully.
I'm no programmer but maybe the problem is to be found at the bottom of the first method -

Just tried with the latest build. Still have the same problem. I won't print the cmd.exe output as it's exactly the same as in my last post.
I never played this game back in the day or with DOSbox yet (my version is GOG so DOSbox is included). So I don't know how it's supposed to work but when Ms. Glass gives you 3 options I have been using the number keys. That was the only option. There was no mouse cursor visible.
But in the latest build I see there is a mouse cursor. In fact I had to use it as I couldn't use the number keys anymore. I guess this was related to the other bug though.

Thanks for the patience re-testing. I think I found the issue and will make a fix.
I can't seem to reproduce this - because of #15821 I couldn't push the right button, but I think it should be fixed by the change I just pushed to fix #15821. Could you try again with the next daily build?
