After the ben croshaw credit, the start screen is black. Hitting enter a few times gets you into the game, and then after the reading from the book at the end it goes black again. Attaching my autosave at the end so you can see it.

I can reproduce the issue with the black screen on intro on mine (Windows 10 x64) with the release version of ScummVM 2.9.0 and also a recent development build from master HEAD.
As mentioned above this issue does not happen with 2.8.1.
I haven't tested for the end game issue yet.

Sorry, Windows 11, sounds like it's not present in 2.8.1 but is in 2.9.0
I'm not very good at bug reporting, if that's not enough info let me know!
