Description (last modified by )
Playing It Takes Two to Tangle v1.0.0.7 in ScummVM 2.9.0 on MacOS 13.7.2 (Intel), I noticed a masking issue during the cutscene between Chapter 2 and 3 when Rosella is talking with Alexander. Please see the attached screenshot. This is not present when playing via the Windows executable.
(Game spoilers on the screenshot, by the way... don't read the dialog)

The issue is still present on the latest build.
Tested using game version 1.0.0.10 on ScummVM master daily build - "2.10.0git14189-g4c5af9f99f2 (April 5 2025 4:49:17)" on Windows 11.
I've attached a save file at the start of the chapter. After loading the save file, click "Continue" and the cut scene will play. You'll see the masking issue when the scene shifts to Alexander's location, after about 10 seconds.

Hello TrivialBalderdash!
Is this fixed as well, like https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/15657?

This issue is still present with the latest game files (File date - May 11, 2025). I'm running ScummVM 2.9.1 on MacOS 15.6.1 (Apple Silicon).

Okay. Do I have to play long for this to happen? I would like to test this with AGS (https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/15657#comment:5).

The save game attached to this ticket will work for both this ticket and 15657. It will start at the beginning of Chapter 3 and immediately go into the cut scene with the masking issues. Then select Cassima to see the underwater scene referenced in the other ticket.

I thought the saves were cross compatible between ScummVM and AGS (with perhaps a rename). If that's not true and you need one from AGS on Windows, I can upload one.

I was going to upload a save game just before the cutscene, but for some reason the file size of the save jumped from ~1MB to 47MB. I've tried saving at a few points before the save and all with the same result. Starting a new game and saving drops the file size back to ~1MB. Compressed, the save file is 3MB, so I am unable to upload it here.
EDIT: Additional information: The increase in save game file size is not specific to ScummVM. The native Windows version does this as well, at the same point in the game (near the end of Chapter 2). If a save game is needed for testing, let me know and I can upload via another file sharing service.
