SCUMM/HE: Backyard Football Online softlocks regularly

The Backyard Football Online experience is more crash-prone than Backyard Baseball. 3 of my 4 games crashed, where the server stopped responding to input. Is there a way to gather any logs to try to resolve this issue?

The softlock always occurred at the play selection screen.

Let me know if there's any additional information I can gather. I love the game and would be happy to play-test things. I am reasonably OK-ish at tech things, like running Wireshark, etc.
