Cannot Cast Spells using Keyboard in Ultima VI

Description
In Ultima VI, press C to Cast a Spell. In vanilla/GOG/nuvie Ultima VI, this opens text prompt to enter the spell name manually, which you can execute with the Enter Key. This does not work in ScummVM.
Observed using the GOG version of Ultima VI with ScummVM 2.8.0.0
