Hello,
The game is "Broken Sword II - The Smoking Mirror - Remastered".
It comes from the "BROKEN SWORD COMPLETE" DVD, published by Mastertronic for Windows XP. It contains these titles in multiple languages:
- Broken Sword Shadow of the Templars - The Director's Cut (not recognized by ScummVM)
- Broken Sword II - The Smoking Mirror - Remastered
- Broken Sword III - The Sleeping Dragon (not recognized by ScummVM)
- Broken Sword IV - The Angel of Death (not recognized by ScummVM)
- And an installer for the whole.
I heard there's a copy of it on Internet Archive.
My version of ScummVM is 2.8.0git5585-g63a6822ea71 (Jun 26 2023 00:16:33)

Hi! It seems that you are trying to have ScummVM detect the remastered version of Broken Sword 2, which is not supported. Are you sure that the DVD contains the original as well?

Hello, I just looked at https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Broken_Sword_2 and indeed I don't have something looking like files on 2 separated disks either on the DVD or installed on the hard drive. Bummer.
In the meantime, I ran the director cut of BS1 and it begins very differently. I'm enjoying a new game. 😊
