Description
When I start the game (loomtowns) with --copy-protection, it automatically starts in demo mode (I get no chance to give the secret weave). If I start with --no-copy-protection it works fine. Other versions of Loom work fine, too.

Whatever it is, there's no chance to enter it. The game starts directly with "Incorrect secret weave, entering demo mode" (maybe not the exact words).

Are you sure the original game actually shows the copy protection screen ? can you try with FM Towns emulator (Unz) ? I thought all FM Towns versions used some kind of CD checks instead.

The original doesn't show the copy protection screen, I confirmed with two people who had run game under Unz (FM Towns emulator).

isn't the copy protection supposed to be based in the kanji that you're supposed to read with the red glasses in one of the books that come with the game?
