OPENGL: Graphics filters not applied to mouse cursor

I like to play around with graphics filters and generally use HQ3x. The filtering is applied to the graphics, but not the mouse cursor when using OpenGL. When using SDL, the selected graphics filter is applied to both in-game graphics and the mouse cursor.
Most noticeable in any DOS game that has mouse support, but can also be seen in many Windows games.
