Failed assertion in audiostream.cpp

With today's CVS snapshot, I'm getting the following failed assertion:
Assertion failed: !_finalized, file sound/audiostream.cpp, line 222
It happens early in Full Throttle. Walking back and forth between the first two rooms a few times usually does it for me.
Walking around in the first room of CMI also seems to be enough to trigger it.
Same deal with The Dig.
I didn't try the other games much. I think these three are the only ones that use the function, but I could be wrong.
