Reproduction steps:
- Install Escape from Monkey Island on ScummVM for macOS
- Run the game
- Click the green window circle or press option-return to go full screen
Expected behavior: it's full screen with black bars on the side (since my laptop screen doesn't match the aspect ratio of the game)
Actual behavior: The aspect ratio stretches to fill my screen.

I tried overriding the stretch mode to be "Fit to window" but the stretch still occurs
See attached two screenshots - in the full screen one, the circles on screen (barrels, life preservers) appear oval

I wonder, is this still valid? We had many fixes since this bugreport was created.

I believe this has been fixed by the 3D backend removal.
