ASYLUM: Sanitarium - Intro with extreme sound dropouts

Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 RGB zLib MPEG2 Theora AAC A/52 FreeType2 FriBiDi JPEG PNG GIF cloud (servers, local) TinyGL OpenGL
During the complete intro i get an extreme amount of sound dropouts (while the accomodating video plays fine, without any dropped frames)
CPU is at 89-93% max, same as in the game later on (in-game music and sound plays perfectly fine aswell)
I've recorded (phone) a ten second example of the main protagonist driving on the street, that's the best way to hear it, since no other ambience noise is distracting, find it attached)

I came here to report that the slowdown is gone completely.
Just for completion i tried the linked demo and it runs fine aswell...though a little faster, but that was to be expected, since the demo has lower resolution.

Can you please check if the alternate demo of the game has the same problem? It uses Cinepak instead of Smacker.
