BURIED: HUD messages don't clear when moving forward

In the original game, moving forward clears the HUD message. In ScummVM, it does not.

Reproduction Steps

Mode Message

  1. Load the attached save game. The message "You are in Adventure Mode" will be displayed in the HUD
  2. Look up
  3. Move forward

Original: The HUD clears.
ScummVM: The HUD does not clear. It will only clear when a new message is displayed.

Evidence Registered message

  1. Load the attached save game
  2. In the inventory, select "Biochip - Evidence"
  3. In the Biochip Display, click the "Locate" button
  4. Click on the smaller red splotch on the center of the screen, which will zoom in on a footprint. After the cutscene is done, the message "Evidence registered" will be displayed in the HUD
  5. Look up
  6. Move forward

Original: The HUD clears.
ScummVM: The HUD does not clear. It will only clear when a new message is displayed.
