Description
When selecting the "Story" option so the book is read to the user, the game returns to the title screen at the end of page 3. This was tested with the Windows and OSX 64bit daily build for August 15th. With the Stable release of 2.1.0 and 2.2.0 it works as it should, continuing on to page 4.
While creating this ticket, I am also unable to select any of the Magic Tales titles from the drop down "Game" menu as they do not appear in the list of selectable games.

I just tested this on Windows 11 as well using the 2.8.0 official release and it does not seem to work for me. Still crashes at the end of Page 3. Also tested with 2.8.0 release on Android 32bit and Haiku OS and got the same crash.

Just updating to report that the issue is still present with the 2.9.0 release. When starting it in Windows 11 it reports the following...
book.ini: fb32572577b9a41ba299825ef1e3181e, 966 bytes.
page99.rsc: fd5ebd3b5e36c4651c50241619525355, 45418 bytes.
I don't know if those are the versions it's looking for or the versions it detected?

I tried this out with the current git version (8215c32) and it seems to work as intended. After page 3 it moves onto page 4. Built with Xcode 16.2 on a Macbook Air M1 (running Sequoia 15.1.1).

Just tested the Windows 64bit 2.10.0git dated Jan 21 2025 on a Windows 11 PC and still get the crash at the end of page 3 and get the follow error...
ERROR: LBRC file ran out of stream!
This occurs if I let the story autoplay or if I select page 3 from the title screen and attempt to advance to the next page.

I tried this again with the latest git code (ebda265) and it still works here, both the Windows and the Mac version. I also tried the latest nightly (c24beadf), and that also works.
I should perhaps mention that I have extracted the CD-ROM files with dumper-companion.py, and am running the game from my SSD. How are you running it?
It is possible that you have a corrupted file.
Could you please verify if the fourth page displays correctly in the most recent version of ScummVM? It appears to be resolved in the latest ScummVM 2.8.0 version. I've personally playtested it on Windows 11, and it transitions to the fourth page smoothly. Additionally, could you provide information about your game version? (I've confirmed this on game version with following details :- {"book.ini","fb32572577b9a41ba299825ef1e3181e"},{"page99.rsc","fd5ebd3b5e36c4651c50241619525355"} )
