There is one estonian fangame which seems to feature kyrillic text display/font usage in it's
launcher title.
This doesn't work here. I get a question mark on one (or more?) characters instead,
although i thought foreign characters were supported in the meantime?

Also the entry seems to be wrong as it marks the game as english, while it's clearly not (see in-game screenshot).

I attach a screenshot from the launcher, in-game and the fangame for conveniance.

The second screenshot is actually named
Jï¿œmaa (v0.05) (Estonian) (DOS/English)
but it wouldn't let me upload a file with that title.
That can also be seen in the window title in the first screenshot.

I don't know on Amiga, but on Win10 using latest dev build the game is properly detected as estonian and the special characters are shown.

I get the same ss you now in the launcher, console and window title changed sti wrong, but that might be because my system doesn't feature a kyrillic font(?)

But since this doesn't cover this bug entry (and would be out of scope of ScummVM anyway :-) ), i guess it's ok to close (?).

I don't know how the amiga backend writes the window title, but that seems plausible. You'll probably notice similar issues with other game titles using special characters that are not part of your locale.

But since this doesn't cover this bug entry (and would be out of scope of ScummVM anyway :-) ), i guess it's ok to close (?).

This bugreport can be closed I think, if you want you could do some research testing other games and eventually open an amiga-specific ticket :)

I just did some research and it seems the problem is os based, so nothing I canvfo until there's a os update:-)
