The game in 'hitchhiker\' seems to be an unknown game variant.

Could you try this in a standalone Z-Machine interpreter to see which Release and Serial number it has? Also, you could try the $VERIFY command to make (reasonably) sure that it's not damaged in any way.

The data file I've seen for this game in the past was 159,928 bytes, and that appears to be what ScummVM is set up to detect. That seems like a pretty large difference for a game like this. (Though re-compiling the leaked source code with the ZILF compiler generates an even smaller file, presumably because ZILF makes better use of abbreviations.)

It really would be quite useful if you could check that the data file isn't damaged in any way, and that's what the aforementioned $VERIFY command does.
