ULTIMA6: Throwing items do not auto-ready

Description
In Ultima VI, if you have many of the same throwing item in your inventory, such as Daggers or Throwing Axes, you will auto-ready another weapon of the same type so long as you have them in your inventory.
It seems like this does not work in ScummVM. If I have 10 Throwing Axes in my inventory and I ready one Throwing Axe, I may auto-ready a second throwing axe, but after I throw the second Throwing Axe, my character is completely bare-handed. If I want to throw another Throwing Axe, I need to access my inventory and ready another Throwing Axe.
In fact, combat in general appears to not work well. The other party members do not really attack regularly like I expect them to.
