MT-32: wrong channel mapping

Reported by: SF/logicdeluxe Owned by: SF/jamieson630
Priority: normal Component: Audio: MT32

Cc: Game: Simon the Sorcerer 1

Description

ScummVM 0.5.3cvs (Sep 26 2003 10:12:25) When I tested the SCUMM games I didn't thought of Simon at that time. Simon plays the same channels with MT-32 output than with GM output, which are usually the channels 1-8 and 10 as far as I could find out. Hence it plays fine when I set the MT-32 to use channels 1-8 and 10 on its front panel. This goes for both, Simon 1 and Simon 2. So you either could mask the channels as done with iMuse or just set up the input channels to 1-8 and 10 with SysEx. I couldn't manage the original interpreters to run with MT-32, so I can not tell, what they do here.

It works in DOSBox. So I found out that the original interpreter uses the MIDI channels 2-10 only.
