HUGO compatibility issue with games using sound and/or music

HUGO seems to develop certain issues with sound and music - starting from a completely new installation with, say, "Future Boy!", it won't start without a an initial configuration file for it in its directory.
With "Guilty Bastards", the DATA and MUSIC files seems to extract sound and graphics -during the course of play- in Gargoyle, something the SCUMMVM interpreter doesn't seem to implement well.
There's also an odd tendency to repeat the last line of the game's output -after- a picture is loaded. (Something I noticed in Oo-Topos as well)
