Grim Fandango xinput controller crash

Description
I try to use my xinput controller with grim fandango and it crashes with "unknown key". The console disappears quick but attached is what it says.

This is probably fixed by af4878e884.
It fixes a regression introduced with the
Pull Request #2548 that
could cause an "Unknown key" error in the keymapper when handling an
EVENT_JOYAXIS_MOTION event. The description of this ticket makes it look
very likely that this is the same bug.
