EMI: Issues with logs facing the wrong direction and going through other logs

This is a normal view of what it should look like.

But the logs sit in a way that is not attached to any land.

And the logs can cross one another.

Way to reproduce. Go through attempt the lava ride. Have your boat knock the logs out of place, but instead of going back try to make a second attempt. The logs float back all facing a upper left direction. But still function normally.
