The reporter uses the files with the forged filesizes on CD 1.
My two CD jewelcase version (files dated October 1998) is the unpatched release: To my knowledge the gfupd101.exe was released December 1998. This has also forged LAB files (ie. too large filesizes).
However, a similar message does appear on a properly formatted/rewritten LAB file (e.g. with lab_copier.py or labcopy)
It was discussed already in the residual forums back then. If you read this answer you will see my reported MD5 (
e13eb421b9490cbaeef66f0cf6156764, see attached patchfile) also there.Identified / verified on Scummvm 77ac364. Build on Raspberry Pi 4 (Raspbian, Buster 10).
