Experiencing the same issue, same error log string; attached my dumped files/sizes.

Some people have experienced problems when extracting the files using JPSXdec. You only need to extract the STR and XA files using this method. The other files including bigfile.dat can be copied straight off the CD.
Could you please try copying those files straight from the CD to see if that works?
