The game now works only in English. Lost the opportunity to switch to Russian.

Hi,

Do you have all these files in your game directory?
a_data.mhk
a_data_french.mhk
a_data_german.mhk
a_data_italian.mhk
a_data_japanese.mhk
a_data_polish.mhk
a_data_russian.mhk
a_data_spanish.mhk

I have these files:

a_data.mhk
a_data_russian.mhk

Should all of these files be available? I deleted files with other languages ​​to save free space. Apparently, this is the problem.

Yes, you need all the a_* files. The other language files can be removed if you prefer.
