Description
I installed the GOG version of World of Xeen. I bought it on GOG and installed it with Wine. Then, I pointed ScummVM to it. It mostly works. When I got to the Witches' tower, towards the beginning, the one with the captured children and the unicorn horn, if I try to go up the stairs to the very highest level, ScummVM just freezes. I have to force-quit it and restart. Every single time. I'm on macOS 10.14.6.

A save file for Might of Magic: World of Xeen that freezes all of ScummVM.

The version I used was 2.1.0. I tried with the nightly build and as soon as I clicked on the staircase, the whole of ScummVM froze. I'm adding the savegame. If it's the right one, the problem staircase should be right in front of the screen as soon as you load it. Just go one on tile forward and click on it. Again, it's the version bought from GOG running on macOS. (I wonder what's on the roof of that tower...)

I'm having the same issue, reproducing in the same way, and behaving the same; on a day old Windows 64-bit nightly build.

Confirmed on Linux OpenSuse Leap 15.1
Not a crash didn't get any console output. Just a hard freeze that had to be killed. I attached my save as well.

eje211: What version of ScummVM are you using? If you are using the latest release, could you try testing with a nightly build to see if this is still occurring in the latest development version? See https://buildbot.scummvm.org/builds.html
Apart from this, if you could attach a savegame file from just before the crash point that would help the Xeen engine devs look at this. Thanks.
