Issue: All of the Small VMD(s) shown on a black background don't seem to be centred at all... As indicated in the screenshot I've attached with this Bug Report.
Game Language: English.
Game Version: 1.0C [GOG].
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (10.0.17134, Build 17134).

This is how the original game placed these videos, so there's not much that can be done without possibly breaking existing functionality.
When you check the new video upscale option, the videos will also be centered on screen - this is because if video upscaling fails in a specific case, the user will always have the option to disable it and continue playing normally.
