Cannot retrieve items from Succ-U-Bus on Mac

ScummVM 2.0.0, whatever version of the game is being sold on Steam.
MacOS 10.13.5 on an iMac (27", Late 2012).

At a regular Succ-U-Bus, the cylinder is delivered, and I get an interaction cursor when pointing at it, but nothing happens when I click on it.

In the Bilge Room, Mother goes through the delivery animation, but I don't even get a cylinder.

Attached savegame is from the Succ-U-Bus just outside my SGT stateroom; the cylinder contains the in-flight magazine I think.

Both the things you mention are that way in the original. First of all, you don't just click on the cylinders to receive their contents, you actually have to drag them. I concede that this is a bit unobvious, but given tt's that way in the original, I thought it best to keep it that way.

Secondarily, you indeed don't get cylinders in the bilge room in the original either. Initially, you can't get anything from that SuccUBus, and you need to figure out how to unblock it. Thereafter, doing a receive will give you the item directly to your inventory without seeing a cylinder.
