XEEN: cancelling spellcasting not working correctly in combat

Description
When clicking the "cast spell" icon in combat and then selecting "cancel", an error appears ("not enough SP to cast spell") even though the character in question has enough Spell Points.
How to reproduce:
- start new game
- move forward 2 steps to begin combat with the slime
- click on the "spellcasting" icon
- note that "Light" is the selected spell and it costs 1SP, while the character has 2 SP available
- click "ESC"
- notice the error about "not enough Spell Points to cast Acid Spray"
