I have already solved the rolling bridge and got my hammer back. If I come back after that it is rolled up even though there is no hammer. If I put the hammer in it goes to the correct state and then the next correct state after I remove it again.
- Load save
- Teleport to 04 Right 1
- Use hammer on lever
If you leave and come back it is correct.

- load save 23
- Teleport to 04-R1
- take hammer and immediate teleport somewhere else
- come back to 04-R1

Thanks, this might come in very handy too, but I meant from before using the gum with the lever and crossing the bridge for the first time.
